How to get paid from an AI agent's deal.
The clean pattern is payment-at-signature. The agent's contract carries the pricing, the client picks a plan, signs a binding e-signature, and pays in the same flow - straight into your own Stripe account, as a one-off charge, a subscription, or a card saved on file. The agent never touches card details, and the platform never holds your money.
The payment-at-signature pattern
The agent drafts a contract that carries the pricing
Your AI agent authors the proposal or contract through the LetSign MCP server, with the plans and amounts built into the document itself. You review it, and nothing sends until you say so.
The client opens one public link and picks a plan
The contract can offer several pricing options in one document. The client chooses the one that fits, and the terms and billing adjust to that choice.
They verify their email and sign
The signature is a binding electronic signature, recognized under the US ESIGN Act and UETA, and under EU eIDAS. The client signs; you never do.
They pay on the same page
Payment is collected in the same flow as the signature, through your own Stripe connection - a one-off charge, a subscription, or a card saved on file to charge later.
The money settles in your Stripe account
Funds land in your Stripe on your normal payout schedule. LetSign never holds your money, and the agent never sees card details - it just tracks the status of the deal.

One-off, subscription, deposit
One-off payment
An upfront payment collected at signature - a project fee, a deposit, or a flat charge. The client signs and pays in one motion, and the deal is closed and funded at the same moment.
Subscription
A recurring plan the client picks on the signing page - monthly retainers, tiered service plans. Billing starts through your Stripe when they sign, on the plan they chose.
Card on file
Save the card at signature and charge later, on the terms the contract sets - milestones, delivery, or usage. The mandate is agreed the moment the client signs.
A $0 option is also valid: the contract signs as a no-charge agreement, with no payment collected at all.
Fees, stated plainly
On the Free plan, LetSign charges 0.20% on payment volume. On paid plans, LetSign charges 0% on the first $20,000 of payment volume each month, then 0.05% on the part above it. You pay your own Stripe processing fees at your rates in both cases, because the payments run through your Stripe account, not ours.
On a paid plan, a month where clients pay you $27,000 costs $3.50 in LetSign fees. The first $20,000 is free, and 0.05% of the remaining $7,000 is $3.50.
Full plan details are on the pricing page, and how the Stripe connection works is covered in the Stripe integration guide.
Frequently asked questions
Does the money touch LetSign?
No. Payment is collected through your own Stripe account, which you connect once from LetSign. The client pays your Stripe directly, so funds settle to you on your normal Stripe schedule. LetSign never holds, routes, or escrows your money, and the agent never sees card details.
What happens on refunds?
If you refund a client through Stripe, LetSign's fee on that payment is refunded proportionally and automatically. A full refund returns the full fee, and a partial refund returns the matching share. There is nothing to file and nothing to request.
Can the client choose a payment plan?
Yes. One contract can carry several pricing options - for example a one-off project fee, a monthly retainer, or a deposit with the card saved for later. The client picks the plan on the signing page, and the terms and billing adjust to their choice before they sign and pay.
What does LetSign cost?
The Free plan is $0 and charges 0.20% on payment volume. Paid plans are $19 per month until Oct 1, 2026 (locked until Oct 1, 2028 for subscribers) and $49 after, with 0% on the first $20,000 of monthly volume and 0.05% on the part above it. Stripe's own processing fees apply at your rates in both cases.
